Lump Chalk

Lump Chalk Fill is mostly used as a sub-base for purposes associated with cattle and livestock. Chalk is an excellent material for absorbing urine and is generally considered to be less abrasive on the feet of animals than traditional concrete bases. Rapid absorption of urine is essential in keeping bedding dry which in turn reduces the requirement for fresh bedding and also ensures ammonia levels are kept to a minimum. We supply this material ‘as dug’ in much larger blocks or graded to requirements.
